And The World Was Amazed Pt. 2

Brain was so exhausted from his day at work, yet he was not in the mood to have to deal with an upset wife. Ella was so passionate about things, so when she started talking he knew he’d better respond.

“I don’t really know what to think.” Brian sighed.  “This guy really came out of nowhere, and I have no real information on him. But I have heard he is here to help usher in peace and change for us, and we sure need that in America right now. I think I would accept just about anyone if they would bring back our jobs and get our economy going again. Of course if he would put an end to some of these wars as well, then, I think you are right! He is exactly what this country, this world needs. We will just have to watch and see what he has to offer.”

The next morning Ella got up and started to get ready for her day at the office. She almost dreaded going in because the real estate market was doing  poorly. The days just seemed to drag on and with the many layoffs in her company, she basically ran the office herself. On the drive over to the office she could not shake the thought of this election from her head. A twinge of excitement was stirring inside her and for the first time in months, she began to feel some hope. All of the despair she had been seeing in others and feeling herself, seemed like it could come to an end soon. She replayed the speech in her mind from the day before. The more she thought back on his words, the more empowered she felt herself becoming. She had no doubt this economy could get back to being stronger than ever and she could get back to the salary she had become used to. Gas and food prices would retreat back down to a more manageable level, she thought, and healthcare for all would be the saving grace for this nation. As Ella walked into her office she flicked on the lights and turned on the T.V.

“Oh my,” Ella said.  She had been so caught up in her daydreaming in the car that she had never turned on the radio to hear what was happening in the world. Deadly tornados had just recently been sweeping across the country, and more and more lives were being taken. To make matters worse, there was another monster storm brewing in the Atlantic and no one knew where it was going to hit. Ella started to remember a conversation with one of her Christian co-workers Annie. She was one of those negative gloom and doom kinds who was always warning others and speaking of coming judgements. ” Maybe this is some fullfilled judgement from the August 1 solar eclipse ,” Ella joked, trying to distract herself from the anger she was starting to feel.  Across the miles of the ocean, the current President was closing out his term trying to negotiate a peace term between Israel and her enemies, despite the fact that war was already beginning with Syria. Ella was so frustrated with the current government system. No matter how often they tried to negotitate peace, nothing was working. While they are away focusing on other countries, Ella thought, disasters are happening here and our economy is crashing. Our own people are suffering and the only thing the have to offer us is more debt and lies about a war to protect us from a threat that probably really isn’t even a major threat. Even Baker Owens had pointed out the fact that this leader from Iran was not much of a threat. Ella really believed that if Baker was elected he could come in and strengthen this agreement over in the Middle East. Many of the leaders really liked him and were even willing to sit down and talk with him. She started to feel like even though there were no real details of what his plans would be, from all he had to say these would be more than just talks. His plan was going to stun the world and then Ella believed many would know he was the leader they had been waiting for. He would go down as the greatest leader of peace and change, not just in America, but in the world. Of course only the next few months would tell.

And The World Was Amazed Pt. 1

It was a long year leading up to the Presidential elections in the U.S.  The world as a whole seemed to be slipping into a deep pit. All around wars were raging and kingdoms were dividing. Everywhere Ella turned all she saw were visions of famines and pestilences. The street corners were becoming more and more flooded with beggers, some even families with their children. Just yesterday she had noticed a riot at the gas station. What was happening? People fighting over gas and others pulling away, not even paying for the gas they had just taken. When Ella got home she walked into her kitchen and noticed voice mails on her machine. Her friend Sara was calling and she really needed to talk. She had just lost her job and more layoffs were coming. She was already struggling to keep up with her mortagage and the rising food prices. Heck, just to buy a loaf of bread was becoming like a days wages. “Ella, I don’t know if I can keep going. Everywhere I turn, it seems like something else is going wrong. My parents are going through this divorce, there seems to be no decent men left around here and even my neighborhood seems to be emptying out with all these foreclosures. I think I might be next! Call me.” 

Ella almost felt as if the world was closing in around her. Her husband Brian was working late hours just to bring home the extra money so they could live. She wanted to help her friend more than anything, but their bank account was going nowhere fast. With everything rising, business after business was being affected. Sales were really slow for Ella’s company. Working on commission had really hurt her, and she knew even her job was no longer safe. She tried to find some comfort in Brian’s job with insurance, but with the major increase in natural disasters, insurance companines were now struggling to keep even their doors open. Things almost seem so hopeless, Ella thought. The threat of the things coming on this world seemed to make what was really going on right now seem like a day in the park. “Oh, she said, if only we could find one leader, some man who could come in and save us from these disasters. Some man who could bring us the change and the peace that we so earnestly need.” No sooner than Ella had allowed that thought to come forth from her mouth, a news alert came across her television screen.  One of the canadities, Baker Owens was giving his speech to an audience of people in California. “Who is this guy?” Ella thought. ” I have never even heard of him,” but everything he said captivated her. As she listend to him, she noticed she was not the only one who was falling for this man. Those around him were totally mesmerized. Some were fainting, others screaming. Everyone wanted to get near him, even the media.

That evening when Brian got home from work, Ella bombarded him with her day and the news conference she had watched. “Have you seen this guy?’ “Brian, he is amazing. He really does want change. I really believe he can bring peace and help this world get back to what we should be-UNIFIED(*a). One cause, one common goal. “He is promising to sit down with even our enemies and not conquer with war.”(*b) Even our enemies and Washington are willing to listen. He can help us with our jobs, healthcare for all and even bring fuel prices down. Brian, do you hear me? I think this man is the savior for our world. The one we need. Even his own wife has said he will redeem our souls! And the best thing is Brian, He’s a christian! What do you think?”

(*b) I love the riders on the white horse with the bows and yet no arrows. Coming during times of war and rumors of war and yet solving it with diplomacy and talking. Bringing peace!

Remember and Repent

     Oh Church in America! How I weep over our false and worthless religion today. We who are grafted in with Judah, because of the Lion of that tribe, Jesus, O how we are falling. The words that the Lord burdened on my heart today still weigh heavy. Will any of us hear the warnings and see? Will we remember what we have heard and truly repent? Or will we find that our religion is worthless and was built on sinking sand?  I pray these Words of the Lord will speak to you as they have spoken to me. The things spoken of in the past, are still being spoken to us today. They were warnings to God’s bride Israel, and they are warnings to Christ’s bride, the Church.

Jeremiah 7- This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: “Stand at the gate of the Lord’s house and there proclaim this message: “Hear the word of the LORD, all you people of Judah who come through these gates to worship the LORD. This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel says: Reform your ways and your actions, and I will let you live in this place. Do not trust in deceptive words and say, “This is the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD!” If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, if you do not oppress the alien, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm, then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your forefathers for ever and ever. But look, you are trusting in deceptive words that are worthless. “Will you steal and murder, committ adultery and purjury, burn incence to Baal and follow other gods you have not known, and then come and stand before me in this house, which bears my Name, and say “We are safe”-safe to do all these detestable things?” Has this house which bears my Name, become a den of robbers to you? But I have been watching! declares the Lord. Go now to the place in Shiloh where I first made a dwelling for my name, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of my people Israel. While you were doing all these things, declares the Lord, I spoke to you again and again, but you did not listen; I called you but you did not answer. Therefore what I did to Shiloh I will now do to the house that bears my Name, the temple you trust in, the place I gave to you and your fathers. I will thrust you from my presence, just as I did all your brothers, the people of Ephraim.”  So do not pray for this people nor offer any plea or petition for them; do not plead with me, for I will not listen to you. Do you not see what they are doing in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes of bread for the Queen of Heaven. They pour out drink offerings to other gods to provoke me to anger. But am I the one they are provoking? declares the Lord. Are they not rather harming themselves, to their own shame? “Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: My anger and my wrath will be poured out on this place, on man and beast, on the trees of the field and on the fruit of the ground and it will burn and not be quenched. “This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Go ahead, add to your burnt offerings to your other sacrifices and eat the meat yourselves! For when I brought your forefathers out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands about burnt offerings and sacrifices, but I gave them this command: Obey me and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you, that it may go well with you. But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubborn inclinations of their evil hearts. They went backward and not forward. From the time your forefathers left Egypt until now, day after day, again and again I sent you my servents the prophets. But they did not listen to me or pay attention. They were stiff-necked and did more evil than their forefathers.” When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you; when you call to them, they will not answer. Therefore say to them, “This is the nation that has not obeyed the LORD its God or responded to correction. Truth has perished; it has vanished from their lips. Cut off your hair and throw it away; take up a lament on the barren heights, for the Lord has rejected and abandoned this generation that is under His wrath.

Rev 3 :14 the message to the Church of Laodocia, though it speaks of the same warnings also gives a remnant a hope. The Lord always has a remenant. For those who will remember and repent, return and obey, we will be overcomers because of Jesus Christ and we will be spared from His wrath that is to come. But for those who will not obey, who will continue in their wordly lives and the pleasures of sin, and then enter into the temple of our Lord, the Church that bears His name and declare, “we are safe” there will be judgement .When we declare from our pulpits “Grace and safety”, even while we turn around and live our lives for other gods there will be judgement . We pick and choose the attributes of Christ we want, yet when judgement and warning come, we refuse to hear and obey, because we still believe we are safe. We believe we are rich, we have need of nothing. We preach that the Lord is pleased and is blessing us. We stand for freedom of man to build the church, to market and make his own plans, and then declare it is the Lords blessing. But the Lord is not pleased! He cried out to us in this last hour, knocking at the door to anyone who will listen and realize that this Church in America is apostate! We have left the way. We do not obey, nor do we respond to correction. Church of America, the only prayer or plea the Lord will hear from us today is a genuine prayers of repentance and returning. There is no other hope for us.

Do You Worship In Spirit and Truth?

     As I was leading our Women’s Bible Study yesterday morning, I was so moved by some of the things we were digging into. As we were studying about how to actively be preparing as the Church for Christ’s return, one of the topics on worship really spoke to me.  What words come to your mind when you think of worship? Take a moment or two to reflect on what that really means when you hear it or say it. I know that our descriptions will all be different. Some may think of praise or love, others may say adoration or singing. Whatever your description of worship may be I want to challange you, just as I was challanged yesterday.

     To truly worship, you must be worshiping in a response to the truth of who Christ is! I fear and see all to much in the Church today Mark 7:6 taking place. Jesus said “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.”  How easy is it to get caught up in trying to stir within us some form of emotionalism or even to try and create worship just because everyone around us is worshipping.  It has almost become the tradition of man to start and end the program with worship, have a set number of songs and then repeat that the following Sunday. Now please understand me, I am all for praise and worship music! I love nothing more than singing praises to my Savior and desiring for His Holy Spirit to fill me with the knowledge and truth of who Christ is and what He has done for me. The problem is when I allow worship to become just a another routine in the schedule on Sunday. When my heart and mind are truly on other things and problems of this world and  when I gain a little emotion from the words of a song or I raise my hands and praise a Christ I may not truly know today. How can that be you might ask? Because today, all to much the Church is turning Jesus Christ into someone He is not. They are creating their own image of Christ, making their own interpretations of scriptures, teaching us and then saying let’s worship.  Some of us may also end up thinking that worship is something done only on Sunday while we are at Church. I am reminded of Jesus’ words in John 4: 23-24 when He said “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”  I pray we will be reminded and stirred by the power of the Holy Spirit to what worship is and who it is! We cannot pick the atrributes of Christ we like and then worship Him for those. We can not make Christ into some man swayed by emotionalism, only filled with love, always excusing sin (or never talking about it), ready to erdicate poverty and aids, largly concerned with the enviroment (instead of our obedience and becoming holy) and then lift up our hands in worship and say I praise you Jesus. That is not worshiping in spirit and truth. Why? Because that is not even the real Jesus and the Spirit does not respond to things that are false, but our emotions may. I want to encourage you to get in the Word. That is our first act of worship. To hunger and thirst for more of who Christ is and know Him more. To learn about all His attributes, whether we like them or not. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you into worship and truth of who the real Jesus Christ is and what He has done for you. As the Holy Spirit takes over, you will find He will guide you into true worship no matter when or where you are. He longs to fill us with worship and joy for our Creator and to refresh us that we may be strengthened to walk by the Spirit, in the power of the Spirit. For true worship to God is our obedience and our praise of who He really is. Nothing less.

At Midnight The Cry Rang Out

Midnight Cry

It is on my heart to share with you the scripture that the Lord has had on my heart for months now. It seems to fit right along with all the other places He has had me in in His Word. But this particluar passage I can not shake from my thoughts. As the day draws near, there is both encouragement and warning for us all. Not one of us can say at one time or another we have not been ‘asleep’ to the things going on around us or in the Church. Our Lord has been a long time in coming, and with all the scoffers around you can almost begin to feel the shouts of the enemy yelling at you, “Go back to sleep.” Reminds me of when I was a little girl and I would have a nightmare. I would wake up violently from a dream and my mother would lay her hand on my back or head and whisper to me “It’s okay, it was not real. Nothing serious, go back to sleep.” I have no doubt that is where the enemy is trying to keep us today. But I want to challange you and encourage those of you watching and walking with our Lord Jesus, to keep pressing into His Word. Keep surrendering your heart and mind to Him that He may prepare you and lead you into Truth. I posted the video above as an encouragement to all my dear sisters who need that encouragement to continue to stand firm in these last days. Whether the enemy is trying to rob your joy and peace with sickness, financial struggles, temptation or doubt, remember Jesus who is faithful. The One who is forever! (These things will come dear friends. We are not immune from the attacks and the trials). Satan’s time is so short now. Let us not give into the distractions, the false teachings and the busyness of this world. Instead let us be filling our lamps with oil, abiding in His love and Word and faithfully watching. If we are not, we will be found on that day to be totally disappointed. Read the scriptures below and let the Lord speak to your spirit, that you may be encouraged to remain awake and ready!

Matt 25 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise, however, took oil in jars aloong with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet Him!’ Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.” “No, they replied, there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves. But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. Later the others also came, “Lord Lord” (correct translation) they said, Open the door for us!’ “But He replied, I tell you the truth, I don’t know you. Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.”

Emerging Christianity And Its Results

I hope one person writes me and tells me this shocks them. I am sickened by where these movements are taking the Church. Surly the apostasy is full blown! As you read this article, listen to the terminology they use. Any phrases or words sound familier? Secret destructive heresies are taking their places and the shock value is probably down among most. I am hard pressed to say, but most may even defend this or at least not find to much to be concerned over. I pray many will comment that they to are saddened by what they are seeing and will take a bold stand against these movements. Refuse to compromise on what the Lord has already spoken. Abide in His Word and lean on His Spirit.  May the Lord come quickly and save us from these dark days!

A Word From The Lord

In my prayer time this week the Lord led me to Isaiah 41. I did not know why at first, but the more I kept studying this week with the Lord, the more He began to help me understand. As the name Jacob kept coming over and over to my mind, I began to see what the Lord was teaching me. As the day draws near, I pray that this will be not only a comfort to those of us saved by His grace and power, but also to my Jewish brothers and sisters who have accepted Christ, and for the remnant that is to come.

Isaiah 41:5-14

      The islands have seen it and fear; the ends of the earth tremble. They approach and come forward; each helps the other and says to his brother, “Be strong”! The craftsman encourages the goldsmith, and he who smooths with the hammer spurs on him who strikes the anvil. He says of the welding, “It is good, He nails down the idol so it will not topple.

     But you, O Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend, I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’, I will uphold you with my rightous right hand.

     All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help you, declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

I pray these verses will be a comfort to you O house of Israel! For your Redeemer is at the door, the one who came to die for you over 2000 years ago. The One you rejected. Yet as your enemies gather around you and seek to destroy you in the months and years to follow, God Himself will help you. Oh how I pray for you Israel and all that dwell within you, that your hearts will be turned to Jesus Christ your Messiah. Just as He promised to restore you to your land, so to He will restore to you your rejoicing! Prepare O Israel for the time is at hand.

The Time Is At Hand

I am not a date setter, but I am a recognizer of the signs of the times. After my prayer time this morning in regards to some things my two best friends and I are studying, the Lord has laid on my spirit not to dismiss this, but to continue to send forth the cry that the time is at hand. Once the webpage comes up you can watch the first video with Mark Blitz.  I know there are many scoffers today, but what my prayer is, is that you will watch this and then pray. Ask the Lord to reveal to your spirit His truth. He is signaling all those who will WATCH for Him. May we be like the 5 wise bridesmaids, who wake up and fill our lamps with oil! DO NOT dismiss this. Pray and study to show yourself approved. The Lord will not turn away from you if you want to know Him more.
