As you said, there is nothing left to say.
Maybe except, God help us.

from the posts i saw you made on this blog, it seems to me that you are just using christianity to support your prejudice against obama. never for once i saw you make any statement about mccain.
this is politics, and people always portray themselves as a savior to the people. look at bush, he is a christian yet he send people in to fight a war. i am not going to say whether it is correct or not. but the fact is you are too biased against obama.
dont get me wrong. i am neither a supporter of mccain nor obama. if in the event that obama gets elected, what will you do? he will become an authority that God has put over you, and you are required to submit to authority. if then, are you going to say you will not submit to the way he govern america?
i hope you dont find this offensive.

I don’t find this offensive Ningxin. You are free to make your own conclusions. I will state that I certainly am not biased though. I will not be voting at ALL, because I support neither canadiate. Since the Lord has also shown me that democracy is Satan’s kingdom, I don’t believe that God just put Obama there because, it will be the world that places him there, with their “votes”. I do believe the Lord will allow him to be raised up as judgement on the world and on the nations.
Of course, I will not have to submit in the form of accepting anything that leads me to go against Christ, but I will have to submit in the form of continuing to obey what does not go against the Word and that may include suffering and even jail for not worshipping Obama.
No other canadiate has ever been portrayed in this light, painted as Jesus, called the Messiah. But all who do not love the Truth will be decieved by this man. Just watch!!

i’m glad you didn’t get offended. i was quite worried that i might cause unneccssary offence…
of course you are right to say you will not have to submit to authorities if it leads you to go against Christ. God is the most important of all.
but i have to disagree on another point. you said that democracy is Satan’s kingdom, and also that God did not put obama there. i don’t think so.
Romans 13:1 said : Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
which means whoever won the race, be it mccain or obama, if anyone of them gets to be the president, this verse states that God is the one who established this authority. yes Satan has a lot of influence, and the world may not love God, but still, God is the one who rules this world. He is the one still in total and absolute control.
about obama being painted as Christ, well that is of course not right. i don’t agree with that too. but it doesn’t mean that God didn’t put him there. who knows, God might have a big plan for him to fulfil that we don’t know about. we will have to watch.

Doesn’t scripture tell us that God raised up Pharaoh for His glory?
Doesn’t it also tell us that God used Nebuchadnezzer to carry Israel to Babylon captive because of their idolatrous worship and rejecting God’s commandments?
Doesn’t it also tell us of God using a gentile, Cyrus, to rebuild the temple in Jerusalem?
And now, we have Obama …

yes you are right. but it doesnt mean the fact that you should not obey authorities. even daniel obeyed and served nebuchadnezzer, with the exception of the fact that he had to disobey God.
God comes first, but if the authorities gave orders that did not contradict with christian values, you have to obey, even if you don’t like it.
even if the leader is someone who is not with God, it doesnt mean God did not put him there. he is the authority that God has decided, and we as christians are to follow him.
paul, in his time, under the roman empire, asked the people to obey authorities, didnt he? if i am not wrong, the leader at that time is nero. if he can say that nero is the authority decided by God, what is obama compared to nero?

Nero was not voted for. Nor were the other leaders of Pauls time. The Lord did raise them up. We (the people) are voting for Obama, saying he is who we want. There is a big difference. But even though the Lord allows us to get what we want, (even if we don’t vote, or didn’t vote for him) we must obey any authority that is put in place out of respect for the Lord. We must also trust that the Lord will take care of us.

Let’s look at scripture for a moment.
Romans 13v1-7 tells us to be subject to governing authorites, and that rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil.
It also tells us that the authorities are God’s minister to execute wrath on him who practices evil.
That is why we pay taxes, verses 6-7.
In Acts 5v29, the apostle Peter states “…We ought to obey God rather than men.”
The apostles had been told not to teach in this Name, but they did. Which is why Peter said what he did.
In other words, when men’s ‘laws’ try to supersede the word of God, men’s laws are not to be followed.
The ‘law’ tells us that abortion is fine. God’s word tells us that abortion is murder.
Not everything that the law says is ok is ok. Let’s not kid ourselves.

doreen, i think you missed out something in my previous comment.
in the second paragraph i said ,’God comes first, but if the authorities gave orders that did not contradict with christian values, you have to obey, even if you don’t like it.’
also if you only subject to rulers that are in line with christian faith only, then you are wrong. daniel served his king, even when his king did not love his God. his king was so absurd that he even had an image cast and ordered everyone to bow down to it. but still, daniel served him faithfully and was loyal to him, of course only up to the extent that he need not disobey God. nero is no better in paul’s time.
whatever the ruler does, no matter what kind of person he is, unless he ordered us to go against our God, we have to submit to him. because this is an order given to us. the rulers now werent as bad and as mad during daniel and paul’s time. so if they were able to submit to them and still be a servant of God, we can do it too, with the Lord’s help of course.
anyway, regarding abortion… i am not going to start a argument here or what. but the Bible did not say anything about abortion.

I agree the word abortion does not appear in the Bible, but the word murder does.
But, that is not the issue we are addressing here.
Let’s just see what does happen.
