For some reason this Scripture came to be today. I decided to find out where it was in the Bible and discovered it was Isaiah 31. I am so thankful for when the Lord gives us wisdom and points us to truth so that we may understand.
Isaiah 31:1-3
Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, And rely on horses, Who trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel, nor seek the Lord! Yet He also is wise and will bring disaster, and will not call back His words, But will arise against the house of evildoers, and against the help of those who work iniquity. Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses are flesh and not spirit. When the Lord stretches out His hand, both he who helps will fall, and he who is helped will fall down; they all will perish together.
You see the Lord alone will defend Israel and protect Jerusalem in these coming months and years. How I pray for our brothers and sisters in Israel, that they will not put their hope or trust in the false promises that Obama brings out of Egypt. May the not trust in false covenants of peace or look to the armies as their defenders. May they trust in the God of Israel and their Lord Jesus Christ, knowing that it is He who will fight for Mount Zion and it is He who shall defend Jerusalem! The time is drawing near dear Christians. We must press onward and not sleep!
