In my prayer time this week the Lord led me to Isaiah 41. I did not know why at first, but the more I kept studying this week with the Lord, the more He began to help me understand. As the name Jacob kept coming over and over to my mind, I began to see what the Lord was teaching me. As the day draws near, I pray that this will be not only a comfort to those of us saved by His grace and power, but also to my Jewish brothers and sisters who have accepted Christ, and for the remnant that is to come.
Isaiah 41:5-14
The islands have seen it and fear; the ends of the earth tremble. They approach and come forward; each helps the other and says to his brother, “Be strong”! The craftsman encourages the goldsmith, and he who smooths with the hammer spurs on him who strikes the anvil. He says of the welding, “It is good, He nails down the idol so it will not topple.
But you, O Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend, I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, ‘You are my servant’, I will uphold you with my rightous right hand.
All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help you, declares the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
I pray these verses will be a comfort to you O house of Israel! For your Redeemer is at the door, the one who came to die for you over 2000 years ago. The One you rejected. Yet as your enemies gather around you and seek to destroy you in the months and years to follow, God Himself will help you. Oh how I pray for you Israel and all that dwell within you, that your hearts will be turned to Jesus Christ your Messiah. Just as He promised to restore you to your land, so to He will restore to you your rejoicing! Prepare O Israel for the time is at hand.

actually, as people pray for Israel, i think we should also include the enemies in the prayers, so that they too will turn to the Lord, will not perish and instead be saved too. they are afterall like the Jewish people and us, humans, although i really don’t approve the bad things they do.
I agree we should always be in prayer for the lost and their enemies. With that said I am only writing from scripture what the Lord led me to. These are His Words, not mine, so I can not change what will happen to His enemies. And for the many that will not be saved there is nothing we can do to change what was already spoken. The important thing is to make sure we are not attacking a people that the Lord God said He would protect. We will only find ourselves fighting against God Himself! Hope you have a great day.
